Beginning on Dec 3, 2013, new students who are first-time card holders should visit photoid.nyu.edu and upload a photo to be used on their NYUCard by following the guidelines and instructions on the site. Students must have activated their NYU NetID before accessing the system. Photos submitted and approved by 3pm can be picked up on the following business day for students starting in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai (except for NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering students). School of Engineering student cards will be distributed during Orientation week activities. Following that week, student cards will be distributed in MetroTech Center, Brooklyn (locations to be announced).
Returning NYU students who need a replacement card must go to the NYUCard Center located at 383 Lafayette Street to have a new picture taken by our team. You must bring proof of identification (i.e. State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport).
Returning NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering students should report to the Facilities Office, Room 152 in the Jacobs Building.
Returning NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai students should report to their respective Public Safety offices.
Please note that students must have been cleared by the Registrar's Office at least 48 hours prior to obtaining their NYUCard.
