In 2013, the NYUCard Center implemented a new process for obtaining an NYUCard open only to new, incoming freshmen and transfer students. Students who fall within this group should visit photoid.nyu.edu and upload a photo to be used on their NYUCard following the guidelines and instructions on the site. Students must have activated their NYU NetID before accessing the system.

Current NYU students who need a replacement card may go to the NYUCard Center located at 383 Lafayette Street, ground level. You must bring proof of identification (i.e. State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport) and have your picture taken for your ID.

Please note that students must be enrolled and registered for classes at least 48 hours before obtaining their NYUCard.

All employees and affiliates must present a New York University ID Card Authorization Form completed by the appropriate individual from their home department in order to receive a new or replacement ID card. Bring the completed form to the NYUCard Center, located at 383 Lafayette Street, ground level, along with a valid form of identification (i.e. State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport) and have your picture taken for your ID.
