The New York University College of Nursing (NYUCN) announces the opening of two positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor whose research focus is the health care workforce. The successful applicant for this position will join an expanding group of researchers at the College whose scholarship centers on the analysis of the forces that shape the health care workforce, including education and training, models of care, and public and private programs.
As part of an ambitious strategic plan, the College has doubled its full-time faculty in the past four years and plans to build a new state-of-the-art nursing facility. Educational offerings at the College include Bachelor of Science degrees, Masters' degrees, Advanced Masters' certificate programs, the DNP and the PhD. The College boasts six endowed chairs, 12 Fellows in the American Academy of Nursing, and major centers that include the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, the Muriel and Virginia Pless Center for Nursing Research, and the Center for Drug Use and HIV Research. In addition, the College has achieved designation as a World Health Organization Collaborating Center.
Applicants must have an earned PhD in nursing or a related field. A demonstrated record of effective teaching and scholarship, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team, are required.
