NYU College of Nursing Seeks Experienced Scholar with a Focus on Chronic Illness Prevention and Management

The New York University College of Nursing (NYUCN) announces a search for an experienced scholar whose research focus is chronic illness prevention and management. The successful applicant for this position will join an expanding group of faculty at the College whose research centers on the creation of models for reducing the burden of chronic illness among individuals and families.

As part of an ambitious strategic plan, the College has doubled its full-time faculty in the past four years and plans to build a new state-of-the-art nursing facility. Educational offerings at the College include Bachelor of Science degrees, Masters' degrees, Advanced Masters' certificate programs, the DNP and the PhD. The College boasts six endowed chairs, 12 Fellows in the American Academy of Nursing, and major centers that include the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, the Muriel and Virginia Pless Center for Nursing Research, and the Center for Drug Use and HIV Research. In addition, the College has achieved designation as a World Health Organization Collaborating Center.

Applicants must have an earned PhD in nursing or a related field. A demonstrated record of effective teaching and scholarship, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team, are required. Appointment and salary commensurate with experience.
