Marie Boltz, PhD, APRN, BC is Director of Practice Initiatives at the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at New York University, coordinating the NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for HealthSystem Elders) program, a national initiative to infuse evidence-based practice into hospitals and other providers. She also serves as course coordinator for the undergraduate nursing course, Nursing Care of Nursing Care of Adults and Elders. Marie has extensive experience in geriatric nursing as an administrator, educator and clinician, and serves on several boards and national advisory groups. Marie received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded her doctorate from the New York University College of Nursing. Her program of research focuses on nursing care of the hospitalized older adult patient.
