Research Interests / Professional Overview:

Christine Kovner is a Professor at the College of Nursing, New York University and Senior Fellow, Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing also at the College of Nursing.  She is a Nurse Attending at the NYU Langone Medical Center.  Dr. Kovner is a public health nurse whose research focuses on the cost and use of health personnel.  She is the co-author of Financial Management for Nurse Managers and Executives.  At NYU she teaches courses on the organization and delivery of nursing care including issues on costs, quality, and the nursing workforce.  She currently is the principal investigator on a large panel survey of newly licensed RNs funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation www.RNWorkProject.org.  She is a Co-Investigator on NYU's NIH Funded Clinical & Translational Science Institute www.med.nyu.edu/CTSI/
