COMMENCEMENT & GRADUATION
On Monday May 11, 2009, the College of Nursing Graduation Ceremony will be held at the New Amsterdam Theatre (from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.) and on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, the 177th University Commencement Exercises will be held at Yankee Stadium (from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M). The University Commencement at Yankee Stadium will be a spectacular event, where Dean Charles Bertolami will confer the degrees of each academic program in the College of Dentistry and College of Nursing. At the College of Nursing Graduation Ceremony, NYUCN graduation candidates will ascend the stage at the New Amsterdam Theatre to accept their degrees. (If you cannot attend either of these events, please e-mail Assistant Dean Amy J.B. Knowles, Office of Student Affairs and Admissions, at ak96@nyu.edu as soon as possible).
ACADEMIC ATTIRE & EVENT TICKET DISTRIBUTION
In order to attend either ceremony, you must obtain academic attire. To ensure proper handling and delivery, be sure to place your order by midnight Monday, April 13, 2009,
by mailing or faxing your order form. See details below.*
Academic attire distribution will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Coles Sports and Recreation Center in the Barrie Dance Studio at 181 Mercer Street, from
11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. (on-time orders only), Wednesday, May 6 - Friday, May 8, 2009, and Monday, May 11 - Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
NYUCN Graduation and platform party ticket distribution will take place on April 23rd (from 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.) and 24th (12:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.) in the 8th Floor Conference
Room at 246 Greene Street.
*If you miss the April 13 deadline, you must place and pick up a late order any time after Tuesday, May 5, during regular distribution hours. Go to the Barrie Dance Studio, on the
first floor of Coles, beginning Wednesday, May 7, when a representative of Herff Jones, Inc. will be available to take and fill your late order in one transaction. All late orders
must be paid by the certified check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) or cash. The latter will speed up your transaction. Please understand that the
rental firm might have to make substitutions to fill late orders.
Note: Academic attire distribution is not a function of Coles operations. The Coles Sports Center staff cannot accept ANY academic attire orders at any time.
Placing your Order
1. Complete all the sections of the academic attire rental form by clicking on the following link below.
(You may obtain an academic attire measuring tape from the Student Affairs Officer located on the 4th Floor in the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions
at 246 Greene Street or by downloading it from the order form.)
2. Once you have completed and printed the Academic Attire order form, please mail or fax a copy of the form, along with payment to:

3. Bring a printed copy of your order form, when you pick up your academic attire at the Barrie Dance Studio at Coles. Reimbursement for academic attire rentals
will be processed on a case-by-case basis. See Dean Amy Knowles with proof of payment.
