Course: Advanced Epidemiology
Dr. Florence Bodeau-Livinec, MD, PhD, completed her medical studies with specialization in Public Health in Rennes and Paris (France, 2004). She spent one year at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit at the University of Oxford (UK, 2004-2005) and has been affiliated with the French National Institute for Medical Research (INSERM, 2005-2007). She developed her interest in perinatal epidemiology in her dissertation thesis on the outcomes of very preterm infants. She joined the Department of Medical Parasitology at the New York University School of Medicine in 2007 as an instructor. She is currently working on perinatal epidemiology in the broader context of Global Public Health and is developing research on pregnancy complications and outcomes of children in the context of malaria.
