Financial Aid
Financing a graduate school education is a matter of serious concern for many students. In fact, an NYU education may be more affordable than many think. There are a large variety of financial-aid options available to public health students, and we encourage you to visit the website of the NYU Office of Financial Aid for more information. In addition, the NYU Master's Program in Global Public Health offers a comprehensive program of both need-based and merit-based scholarships.
Types of Program Scholarships
Merit-based program scholarships are available to applicants (including international students) demonstrating an excellent academic and employment record and strong leadership potential. An applicant who indicates interest in merit-based aid on the application and whose completed application is received by the appropriate deadline is automatically reviewed for this award.
Need-based program scholarships are determined by financial status at the time of application. An applicant who indicates interest in financial aid on the application and whose completed application is received by the appropriate deadline is automatically reviewed for this award. U.S. citizens and permanent residents must complete the U.S. Department of Education's Free Application for Federal student aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based program scholarships. The FAFSA becomes available shortly after January 1 for the upcoming academic year. For the fastest and most accurate results, we encourage you to apply electronically via the website listed below. If that is not an option, you may pick up the forms at a college financial aid office near you or have them mailed to you by contacting NYU's University-wide Office of Financial Aid at the address below:

The NYU Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship is designed to support and train the next generation of change makers who will implement sustainable and scalable solutions to society's most intractable problems. Reflecting the notion that social entrepreneurship is a meta-profession that draws on the skills and methodologies from a wide variety of disciplines, this cross-university initiative encompasses all 14 undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools at NYU. At the core of the program are highly competitive Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships. The program also brings significant social entrepreneurial resources and opportunities to the greater NYU community as a whole.
The NYU Reynolds Graduate Fellowship is open to new students applying to any full-time, two-year master's degree program at NYU (excluding some executive programs) and students currently enrolled in the Schools of Law, Medicine, Dentistry, or the Tisch School of the Arts who have two years remaining beginning September 2008. Fellows will receive up to $25,000 for each of two years of study and dedicated programming that supports their vision and work as change makers. Up to 20 Fellows will be named per year.
For more information, visit the Reynolds Fellowship Website. The application deadline for applicants to the NYU Master's Program in Global Public Health is February 1, 2010.
