Dual Degrees
The Master's Program in Global Public Health currently offers three dual degree:
The DDS/MPH option with the College of Dentistry allows students to complete both degrees in 5 years. Students in this option complete 2 years of the DDS program, then take one year of MPH courses before returning for the final 2 years of the DDS program.
The MD/MPH option with the School of Medicine allows students to complete both degrees in 5 years. Students in this option complete 3 years of the MD program, then take one year of MPH courses before returning for the final year of the MD program.
The MS/MPH option with the College of Nursing allows students to complete both degrees in 3 years. Students in this option take MPH and MS courses simultaneously throughout the program.
Only full-time students will be admitted to our dual degree options, and must be admitted to both degree programs. Application is made separately to the MPH program, using the standard application form. For the DDS/MPH and MD/MPH programs, application need not be made at the same time that application is made to the College of Dentistry or School of Medicine. We recognize that students may reach the decision to pursue an MPH after they have begun their studies in dentistry or medicine.
Please check this page periodically for further details on dual degrees as other options are developed this year.
