SCHOLAR'S SEMINAR
During the Freshman and Sophomore years, the centerpiece of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars Program is the Scholars Seminar (E03.0002.003 & 004), which organizes scholar activities, including travel colloquia around an annual theme chosen by the scholars. Discussion, debate, outside speakers, social activities, a play that they construct, a group community service project allow scholars to explore the year’s theme creatively, bringing in issues of leadership development, current events, multiculturalism, social justice, and community. This year’s theme is "Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere".
Scholars enroll in the Scholars Seminar during their Freshman and Sophomore Years. As Juniors and Seniors, while they continue participation in various aspects of the Program, they do not enroll in Scholars Seminar.
