HONORS AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Freshman Scholars are invited to enroll in Freshman Honors Seminars, which are small, intellectually stimulating classes taught by distinguished NYU faculty. When their programs of study allow, and by advisement, Freshmen Honors Seminars may be taken as an elective.

Junior and Senior Scholars. Depending on their major and the division in which they are enrolled, Scholars may participate in Departmental Honors and/or honors coursework during the junior and/or senior year and/or apply for grants to support independent student research.

Scholars may be invited to compete for prestigious National Scholarships, which include the Truman Scholarship as juniors, and as seniors, for the Rhodes, Marshall, Luce, and/or Fulbright. Scholars will be advised and guided through this highly competitive process.
