Holiday Host Program

NYU’s Division of Student Affairs, Center for Multicultural Education and Programs and the Office of Global Services proudly invites you to participate in the inaugural NYU Holiday Host Program. This program provides our international students with a chance to take full-advantage of the holiday break, and to celebrate Thanksgiving with a host family from the NYU community.

The goals of the program are to enable cross-cultural engagement beyond NYU’s campus and mutually creating deeper cultural understanding for all participants.


Hosts are Alumni, Faculty, Staff and American students who are curious about other cultures and honored to share their own. They are willing to invite an international student to their Thanksgiving traditions.

There are numerous benefits to hosts. First, it creates an opportunity for to share in an exchange of cultural traditions and customs. Also, participation on the program will make a difference in a student's NYU experience by creating memories that last a lifetime.

There are two information sessions for hosts this week to learn more about the program:

  • Wednesday, November 6, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Kimmel Center, Room 803
  • Friday, November 8, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Global Center for Academic & Spiritual Life (GCASL), Room 361


NYU’s undergraduate international students are invited to participate on a cultural exchange through holidays and traditions.

As guests, students will have the opportunity to experience a cultural exchange. They will become a member of the local community for a Thanksgiving and will have the opportunity to share culture and traditions of their own.
