The Outbound Immigration and Mobility Services portion of the Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) is currently staffed by two immigration and mobility professionals.

In support of the Global Network University the Office for International Students and Scholars will be expanding, effective January 1, 2013, and will support the immigration needs of NYU students, faculty, administration, and staff that will be studying/working within the Global Network University outside of the United States.
The Outbound Immigration and Mobility Services Unit will also provide mobility assistance to faculty, administration, and staff who have received an approved University appointment or assignment outside of the United States.

The Office for International Students and Scholars at New York University seeks to further the aims of the NYU Global Network University (GNU) through excellence in advising NYU faculty, administration, staff, and students; designing and maintaining specialized administrative processes and procedures; ensuring federal compliance related to the immigration statuses and mobility needs of our academic community worldwide; developing appropriate technical and cultural programs; and advocating effectively and compassionately for the needs of the NYU community.
