The Multicultural Alumni Committee promotes greater multicultural alumni participation in University affairs and multicultural community initiatives and works to enhance the active engagement of multicultural alumni as members of the NYU Alumni Association. Furthermore, the Multicultural Committee seeks the assistance and support of diverse alumni in the major diversity departments and initiatives of NYU, including the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Student Diversity, The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, Martin Luther King, Jr. Week, and the Multicultural Alumni Reception during Alumni Reunion Weekend.
The Multicultural Committee also identifies methods for fundraising that would increase the participation of multicultural alumni in university events and activities and can provide financial support for the multicultural students at NYU.
