The panelists share how social identities and diversity have impacted their careers. MIIM is informative and open to all, offering job/internship suggestions, career advice, and general media analysis from industry veterans. Alumni are invited to attend and participate on the panels (contact The Center for more information).

Multicultural Alumni Committee

Nia Awards

The Nia (a Swahili word meaning “purpose”) Awards Ceremony honors the achievements of undergraduate and graduate students committed to promoting diversity and social justice from across the University each spring. In addition to student awards, Nia also celebrates an NYU alumni, faculty and administrator that demonstrates outstanding commitment to student development and service.  We also honor the various groups and leaders within the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs. All NYU students, faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to nominate their peers and colleagues!
