Students may see a provider on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) if they have an acute illness and require urgent care. If urgent care is not required, please make an appointment.

What is an urgent need?

The following are some examples of symptoms that may require urgent care:

  • persistent fever or chills
  • pain that does not go away
  • shortness of breath
  • chest pain
  • musculoskeletal injuries
  • lacerations or wounds
  • abdominal pain

If you have any questions about whether or not your need is urgent, call (212) 443-1120 to speak with a triage nurse.
