An appointment is required to access these services.

Nutrition Services provides counseling for students with all types of nutritional concerns as well as other medically diagnosed conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and anemia.

One-on-One Counseling for:

  • Medical conditions (anemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, diabetes, IBS, etc.)
  • Eating disorders
  • Weight control
  • Vegetarianism/Veganism

Enjoying food, making healthy choices, practicing moderation, and putting health as top priority are the foundation of Nutrition services at SHC.

In order to maximize your time with the nutritionist, complete these forms prior to your appointment:

  • Food Diary
    Food Diary (PDF) - Keep track of all food and beverages consumed over a typical week. Be as specific as possible with the types and the amount of food consumed. Also include any physical activity of 20 minutes or longer.
  • Nutrition Intake Form
    Eating Habits Questionnaire (PDF)


Medically Diagnosed Nutrition Counseling: The NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance plan provides 100% coverage for nutrition counseling for any medically diagnosed condition. In this case, students may request a referral from their Primary Care Physician. A $20.00 fee applies for all appointments with our Registered Dietitian.
