Action Zone is a bystander intervention training for risk reduction, adapted from the University of Arizona’s Step Up! program. Topic areas include, but are not limited to:
Studies show that most people want to help, but very few actually do. We explore this phenomenon as well as when to intervene and when not to; safe, early, and effective intervention; and pro-social behavior theory. This interactive training will prepare participants to be helpers in the NYU community.
Trainings are open to student leaders, faculty, administrators, and staff. To register for one of our spring trainings, please RSVP (indicating training date) to Brittany New at email@example.com.
