The NYU Public Safety Command Center and the NYU ID Card Center have moved to a new location at 7 Washington Place, on the corner of Mercer Street.
The Command Center is open 24/7 with officers available to provide assistance in both emergency and non-emergency situations. The Card Center is open Mon-Fri, 8:00am - 8:00pm.

To protect its community, New York University has uniformed security officers who are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year; an emergency number (212) 998-2222; emergency call boxes located throughout the main campus, green light buildings staffed 24 hours a day by Public Safety Officers, Safe Havens, transportation services, including Safe Ride Program from 12 midnight to 7:00am.
OPERATION ID - A joint program with the NYPD to register smart phones, tablets, laptops and other small electronic devices. If the device is lost or stolen, and turned into the NYPD, the owner can be contacted to reclaim their property. No cost to register your devices!
