Lost Cards and Replacements

Students - Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to the NYUCard Center by calling (212) 443-2273 and selecting option 1, or by visiting the Public Safety Command Center, located on the ground floor of 7 Washington Place. Replacement cards may be obtained at the Command Center 24-hours/day, 7 days/week. There is a $15 fee to replace your NYUCard (effective June 1, 2016, the lost card fee will increase to $25), which, for students, is billed directly to their Bursar Accounts. Students who need to replace a lost NYUCard will have the lost card fee billed directly to their Bursar Accounts. You must submit a form of identification (i.e. State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport) in order to receive your new NYUCard. If your card is stolen and you obtain a police report (or incident information slip) indicating that your card has been reported stolen (and not simply "lost"), the fee can be waived. The police report must be presented at the time that the new card is issued in order to be considered for a fee waiver.
