The Helen & Martin Kimmel Center—joined by the adjacent Global Center for Academic & Spiritual Life—is at the heart of NYU’s student, faculty, staff, department, and alumni activity.
Student, school, and club events all have a home in the Kimmel & Global Centers, as do the Kimmel Market Place (third floor) and the new Peet’s Coffee & Tea (second floor), plus a number of central University offices:
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve collected answers and instructions to our most frequently requested information here, but if you still have questions feel free to call us at 212-998-4900.
Music lockers are located on the sixth floor of the Kimmel Center and on the C level of the Global Center. They are reserved in person in the Kimmel Operations Office and cost $10 per semester ($15 for a full academic year).
General-use lockers are located on floors 2, 3, and 4 of the Kimmel Center and in Weinstein; they are typically used by commuter students. You rent a general-use locker online through KimmelOneStop, the Kimmel Center’s online reservation system. It’s a three-step process:
- STEP 1: Request a KimmelOneStop account.
- STEP 2: Request a locker.
- STEP 3: Pay the fee.
Don’t worry: we’ll walk you through the process step-by-step over email. After you complete Step 2, you can begin using your locker. The fees for general-use lockers are $10 for a semester or $15 for the full academic year.
We’ll accept payments only by credit card through our online ePayment System. You’ll get more details about how to pay the fee in an email after you complete Step 2.
Even if you already have a KimmelOneStop account for music practice, complete this step again. We’ll merge your two accounts when we receive this request, and you’ll be able to continue using your old login.
It can take up to two business days for an account to be approved, but when it is we’ll send you an email with instruction for Step 2: Request a locker.
