NYU CareerNet Info

How to Register

Most NYU students already have an NYU CareerNet account.* To verify your account, please return to the NYU CareerNet student login page and click "Forgot username or password." Enter your username (NetID@nyu.edu), and your password will be sent to this email address.

If you do not receive an email with your password, you do not have an NYU CareerNet account. To obtain an NYU CareerNet account, please register here. A confirmation email along with your username and password will be sent to you once your account has been activated.

*Note: Non-credit professional certificate students are not eligible for NYU CareerNet accounts


User Guidelines

To assist you with building your professional skills it should be understood that when you use the services provided by the Wasserman Center for Career Development you must adhere to the following honor code. Violations of this honor code are highly unprofessional and will remain in your record.

When using Wasserman Center programs and services, I agree to the following:

  • All Information found on my resume, unofficial transcript and NYU CareerNet profile is up-to-date, truthful and accurate.
  • I will not share my login information with other individuals from NYU and peer institutions.
    I give permission to the Wasserman Center to provide my resume and other job search documents to prospective employers.
  • I will honor all commitments. When I RSVP for events, I understand that I am making a commitment to attend a seminar, special event or recruitment activity. If I cannot attend, I will cancel my reservation prior to the event, so that a peer can replace me.
  • I will exercise professional conduct during all career development and recruitment related activities, including interactions with Wasserman Center staff.
  • I will notify the employer in a timely manner of acceptance or non-acceptance of an internship or full-time offer, either verbally or in writing.
  • If I renege on a verbal or written offer, my Dean will be contacted and consequences may result.
  • Jobs listed in NYU CareerNet may not be shared with another recruiting entity or posted to another job site.
  • I accept that failure to adhere to any of the above points may result in the removal of my Wasserman Center privileges, including access to NYU CareerNet, OCR jobs, career fairs and career coaching appointments.

Alumni

Alumni can obtain access to NYU CareerNet by contacting our reception desk in person or by phone at 212-998-4730 during office hours. Alumni are eligible for varying levels of access to NYU CareerNet and NACElink.


Using NYU CareerNet

Terms and Conditions

The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development (the Wasserman Center) acts only as an intermediary between employers posting job opportunities and candidates searching for job opportunities. The Wasserman Center is not involved in the actual transaction between employers and candidates. As a result, the Wasserman Center has no control over the quality, safety or legality of the jobs or resumes posted, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of employers to offer job opportunities to candidates or the ability of candidates to fill job openings

In addition, because user authentication on the Internet is difficult, the Wasserman Center cannot and does not confirm that each user is who they claim to be. Because we do not and cannot control the behavior of participants on our web site, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more users, you release the Wasserman Center and New York University (and our agents and employees) from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential, direct and indirect of every kind and nature, known and unknown), arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes. If you are a student, by submitting your resume to any service including NYU CareerNet, the On-Campus Recruiting program, any Resume Book, you are authorizing the Wasserman Center to forward your resume to selected employer partners.
