Alumni

The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development is committed to assisting NYU alumni with their career and job-search needs. Whether you are seeking employment, considering a career/job transition, or searching for a career direction, the Wasserman Center is an excellent place to start. Alumni can benefit from several free and available services.

NYU CareerNet Access

Lifetime free access to job listings are available to NYU alumni via NYU CareerNet. Within NYU CareerNet, alumni can also schedule appointments with designated career coaches at the Wasserman Center, store and upload multiple resumes for different career fields, and pre-register for alumni-focused events and workshops.

  • REGISTRATION: Alumni who have an NYU N# may register online to use NYU CareerNet. Alumni who do not have an NYU N# should contact our reception desk at (212) 998-4730. Please allow 1-2 business days to be able access newly created accounts.

Career Coaching Appointments

Schedule an appointment with a career coach to discuss strategies for determining your career and job-search goals. Please log into your NYU CareerNet account to view appointment availability and to select an appointment type (15-minute or 45-minute). Please arrive five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

15-Minute Appointments

Meet with a career coach from the Wasserman Center and receive career/job-search advice. Topics most appropriate for a brief, 15-minute discussion can include resume/cover letter critiques, as well as succinct job-search or interview-related questions. These appointments are appropriate for questions that can be quickly addressed.

  • There are a limited number of 15-minute appointments weekly.

45-Minute Appointments

Schedule a 45-minute appointment with the Manager of Alumni Career Programs or a senior member of the career coaching team to discuss strategies for determining your career and job-search goals. The coach and alumnus/a can work together to assess interests and skills, identify career options, discuss career transition strategies, prepare a resume and cover letter, and address any other career-related concerns.

  • Each alumnus/a is eligible for three lifetime 45-minute appointments.
