The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development is committed to assisting NYU alumni with their career and job-search needs. Whether you are seeking employment, considering a career/job transition, or searching for a career direction, the Wasserman Center is an excellent place to start. Alumni can benefit from several free and available services.

NYU CareerNet Access

Lifetime free access to job listings are available to NYU alumni via NYU CareerNet. Within NYU CareerNet, alumni can also schedule appointments with designated career coaches at the Wasserman Center, store and upload multiple resumes for different career fields, and pre-register for alumni-focused events and workshops.

  • REGISTRATION: Alumni who have an NYU N# may register online to use NYU CareerNet. Please allow 1-2 business days to be able access newly created accounts.
  • NAVIGATING NYU CAREERNET: Learn how to use NYU CareerNet to apply for jobs, RSVP for events, and schedule career coaching appointments.

Career Coaching Appointments

Schedule an appointment with a career coach to discuss strategies for determining your career and job-search goals. Alumni can access individual 30-minute career coaching appointments, as well as brief, five-minute walk-in appointments.

30-Minute Appointments

Alumni can schedule individual appointments with the Manager of Alumni Career Programs or a member of the career coaching team to discuss strategies for determining career and job-search goals. The coach and alumnus/a can work together to assess interests and skills, identify career options, discuss career transition strategies, prepare a resume and cover letter, and address any other career-related concerns. To schedule a 30-Minute career coaching appointment, please log into your NYU CareerNet account to view appointment availability. Please arrive five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Alumni Walk-In Appointments

Alumni can visit the Wasserman Center for brief walk-in appointments. These five-minute appointments are conducted on a first come, first serve basis with Wasserman Center staff, and are primarily used to review resumes, cover letters and/or answer quick career development-related questions. Walk-in hours are available:

  • Monday: 2:30pm-4pm
  • Tuesday: 12pm-1:30pm & 2:30pm-4pm
  • Wednesday: 2:30pm-4pm & 5pm-6:30pm
  • Thursday: 2:30pm-4pm & 5pm-6:30pm
  • Friday: 12pm-1:30pm

The Wasserman Center is pleased to partner with career experts to deliver the latest job search and career development strategies to NYU alumni. To find out about these events and more, please join the Alumni Listserv by following the instructions in the right column of this page.

  1. Log in to your NYU CareerNet account and click Profile > Personal > Privacy.

  • Alumni are defined as graduates with an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, Graduate Certificate, or Doctoral degree from an eligible NYU school who completed their NYU degree(s) more than one year ago. The alumni services listed on this page are available by creating/accessing your NYU CareerNet account. Please contact the Wasserman Center to verify your NYU student ID number (NYU N#) if you do not have this information.
  • Recent alumni who have graduated within 12 months have unlimited access to all of the Wasserman Center's services, events, and programs (except On-Campus Recruitment), in addition to the services listed on this page.
  • Stern School of Business (Graduate), School of Law, School of Medicine, and College of Dentistry alumni are eligible for assistance with alternative careers.
