Programming spaces in the NYU residence halls may be reserved for events associated with: (1) the Office of Residential Life and Housing Services; (2) NYU offices currently occupying the respective building; and (3) other units within the Division of Student Affairs. Other University offices or groups may request use of the space, although availability may be limited. The spaces are not available to groups or organizations unaffiliated with the University.
Generally, spaces are only available for use during the academic year during the following times:
Furthermore, use by external groups (those not affiliated with Residential Life and Housing Services) may be limited during certain periods of the year when the spaces are needed to support residence hall initiatives and operations. For full consideration, requests must be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the event. Requests submitted beyond this may not be accepted. Users will receive a response within a week of their submission regarding the status of the request.
The rooms are locked when not in use. Users having a confirmed reservation should go to the hall resource center prior to their event to pick up the key after leaving their NYU ID. After the event, the user must lock the room, return the key to the hall resource center, and pick up their NYU ID.
Users are expected to arrange the furniture themselves for their particular program and clean up afterward. It is expected that the room will be left in the same condition and arrangement as it was found. Users are encouraged to make the reservation for 30 minutes prior to the actual start time of their program, as well as 30 minutes afterward if tear-down or clean-up is necessary. Please note that reservations may be booked back-to-back, so users should be considerate of others who may be using the space immediately afterward.
Use of installed audio/visual equipment is not permitted for external groups and there is no A/V support staff on site. External groups can make arrangements for alternate equipment through Campus Media. Requests for support should be directed to that office at 212-998-2655.
