About Brittany Hall
Newly renovated Brittany Hall hosts a vibrant community of approximately 575 first-year students. To help facilitate community, enhance your academic experience, plan events, and provide support, there are 14 Resident Assistants, 1 Resource Center Assistant, and 2 live-in and 1 live-out professional staff members, and 2 Faculty-Fellows in Residence and their family.
Brittany Hall is one of seven FYRE (First Year Residential Experience) halls – a program that aims to provide supportive and inclusive first-year student communities that foster academic success, exposure to new ideas, leadership opportunities, responsible living, and personal growth. Brittany is also home to two "Explorations" floors (a.k.a. theme floors or living-learning communities) where students can apply based on the themes.
Our beautiful and historic building has some fantastic amenities, including the Rhodes Room, a large lounge and performance space; the Recreation Room, furnished with a host of recreational activities; the Penthouse Study Lounge, equipped with comfy chairs and couches for study groups, and desks for individual study; Music Room, with a piano and a drum set; and a Dance Studio replete with barres and mirrors. In addition, we hope all of our student leaders will join our active hall government, the Brittany Hall Council (BHC), by running for an executive board position, attending general assembly meetings, or joining a committee to make great things happen in our community. We are excited to have you join us, welcome home!
