As part of the effort to keep the NYU community healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, NYU IT locations have modified their visitation policies, hours of operation, and available services. See below for more information.

Fall 2020 NYU IT Locations Access

As part of the effort to keep the NYU community healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, publicly-accessible NYU IT locations have modified their visitation policies and hours of operation for the fall 2020 semester.

Because procedures may change in response to current events, check for updates on the website for the location you need to visit.

Face coverings are required for ALL NYU locations.

NYU Study and Remote Learning Spaces

NYU is providing students with dedicated Study Spaces and Remote Learning Spaces where you can work individually in quieter space, or actively participate in online classes. Reservations, available through the NYU Mobile app via "Book a Study Seat", are required, and for student use only. See the NYU Returns site for details.

  • You will need to bring your own device and charger as these are not provided.
  • Face coverings are required.
  • Be prepared to show your reservation and daily COVID-19 screener.

IT Service Desk

  • Open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm ET by appointment only.
    • To make an appointment, visit the IT Service Desk website.
    • There are three areas available—A,B, and C on the 4th and 5th floors of 10 Astor Place—for in-person visits.
    • An IT Service Desk employee will direct you to the appropriate area for your appointment.

Student Technology Centers

  • Space at the LaGuardia Co-op and Third North will be available by reservation only.
  • Printers at the LaGuardia Co-op and Third North are not currently available through the NYU Print Service.
  • The Kimmel Center student technology will be available for printing only. No reservation is necessary.
  • Face coverings are required.
  • Be prepared to show your daily COVID-19 screener results.

LaGuardia Studio

  • Operating Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm ET.
  • LaGuardia Studio will be restricted to curbside access only; all services remain available.
  • Consultations will be conducted via NYU Zoom. To schedule an appointment, please email lgs@nyu.edu or call 212-998-3454.
  • Finished job orders can be picked up outside the LaGuardia Studio.
    • Upon arrival, call 212-998-3454.
    • Wait in the designated curbside service area for a LaGuardia Studio staff member.

Data Services

  • The Data Services location in Bobst Library will not be open to the public during the fall 2020 semester.
  • Virtual consultations and workshops will be available via NYU Zoom.

Digital Studio

NYU Print Service Locations

  • Access to NYU Print Service stations may be limited based on the access policy for each location in which the printer is located. Be sure to check ahead of time to make sure the printer you select is available and to acquaint yourself with the procedure for entering that location.
  • Printers at Bobst Library, LaGuardia Co-op, and the Third North Student Technology Center will not be available during the fall 2020 semester.
  • The number of printers available at the Kimmel Center has been expanded.
  • Printers located inside residence halls are only available to residents.

Public Computing

NYU IT-managed public computers at listed locations may be available during the fall 2020 semester. In accordance with social distancing guidelines, access to public computers may vary. Please contact the location for up-to-date information. Computers at the LaGuardia Co-op and Third North student technology centers are available by reservation.

NYU IT Locations and Facilities

IT maintains a variety of facilities and service locations on campus in support of NYU faculty, staff, administrators, and students.

These include the Student Technology Centers for student collaboration and innovation, the LaGuardia Studio for form and fabrication, and the Digital Studio's and Data Services’ media production and consultation services.
