NYU Welcome Day

Welcome Week

Each fall, NYU hosts NYU Welcome Day for new undergraduate students and their family members.  Stop by for refreshments, information, and to meet representatives from various NYU offices and organizations.  It's a great place to meet other parents and students, take a break, get a bite, pick up some free stuff, and ask questions.

Things To Do

Get Your NYU ID Card (Student ID)

For students who submitted their photo online (photoid.nyu.edu) NYUCards will be available for pick up on the 2nd floor of the Kimmel Center. For pick-up prior to August 25th, go to NYU Card Services (click for location and hours)

Grab a Bite and Take Break

Stop by the Kimmel Market place on the 3rd floor for a light continental breakfast or lunch and take a break between moving-in, running errands, and all the other things to do!

Visit the Information Fair

Located in the Eisner and Lubin Auditorium on the 4th floor, meet with representaties from many NYU offices and organizations. Groups include Welcome Week organizers, parent resources, campus services, health and wellness offices, multicultural, student, and spiritual life offices, local banks, and many more!

New students can pick-up their free NYU t-shirt at the Welcome Week table, hosted by the Student Resource Center. T-shirts will also be available during Welcome Week at the top of the Kimmel Center’s grand staircase.

Attend a Parent Welcome (Parents Only)

Hosted by Vice President of Global Student Affairs Marc Wais, parents (only) of new undergraduates are invited to a 45 minute Welcome to the University that will provide an overview of the coming weeks for new students, brief presentations on the Student Health Center, Housing, and Career Development, as well as preparing for your student's first year in college and the University's relationship with parents. This optional program will be offered throughout the day on a first-come-first-served basis.
