NYU Welcome Week Leaders are an integral part of Welcome Week. Over 300 volunteers make up our Welcome Week Leader team, in addition to 16 Welcome Week Captains and Chairs who plan and coordinate staffing for all 500+ Welcome Week events. Being a Welcome Week Leader is a great leadership opportunity to get involved, feel more connected to campus, make new friends, and truly have an experience where you create a positive difference in the transition of more than 6,500 incoming first year and transfer students! 

WELCOME PROGRAMS

Our Welcome Programs occur at the start of both the Fall and Spring semesters. They are intended for new first year, transfer, and graduate students, as well as NYU Visiting Students studying in New York for a semester. Both Welcome Week and Spring Welcome are designed to help you in your transition by complementing any required school or program orientations, advising sessions or other activities. 

NYU Welcome Week | Start of fall semester | Over 500+ events for new undergraduate students (first years & transfers)

Grad Welcome: | Start of fall semester | Over 300+ events for new and returning graduate students

Fall Welcome | First two weeks of fall semester | Open to all NYU students (including returning students)

Spring Welcome | First three weeks of spring semester | Designed to welcome all NYU students to the new semester
