Volunteers

Volunteers are an essential component of Grad Alley and the All-University Commencement Exercises! Approximately 500 volunteers will be needed to assist with these two important events at the University.

Volunteer opportunities are available to University administrators and former volunteers. All potential volunteers should check with their supervisors before signing up.

Volunteer Opportunities

Grad Alley (Tuesday, May 21, Washington Square)

Volunteers are needed to help set up and staff the event. Sign up for one or more of three different shifts: 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (staging); 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (set up); 4:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (event staffing).

Commencement (Wednesday, May 22, Yankee Stadium)

Volunteers will serve as "greeters" for candidates and their guests as they arrive at the stadium and are seated in their respective sections. Volunteers should expect to be at Yankee Stadium from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Commencement Day. Commencement volunteer spots are limited; University Events will confirm placement of all volunteers.
