Full-time faculty members should receive an invitation to participate in the All-University Commencement faculty procession from the Office of University Events in mid-March.
A faculty member who wishes to participate must:
- legibly complete and send the tear-off response card on the faculty invitation to the Office of University Events no later than Monday, April 22nd.
- wear academic attire. Rental information is included in the All-University Commencement invitation packet. If renting attire, it should be ordered from Herff Jones, Inc., no later than Monday, April 22nd. Some schools have different procedures and will notify faculty directly about these. Follow all instructions provided by your school. DO NOT DUPLICATE YOUR ORDER.
- travel on the faculty bus from Washington Square to Yankee Stadium.
An instruction card will be mailed (interoffice or USPS) by the Office of University Events in mid-May to faculty from whom a response card is received to the address filled in on the faculty response card. This instruction card will also serve as the faculty Ticket of Admission when faculty assemble at Washington Square on Commencement morning.
