Inclement Weather

In the past 26 years, we have only had rain twice at the All-University Commencement. However, whether our luck persists or whether it rains, Commencement goes forward. Be sure you leave for Yankee Stadium prepared for inclement weather. We will have complimentary ponchos; please know that Yankee Stadium does allow umbrellas, which might be a good thing to bring if the skies look ominous. If there is rain Wednesday morning, the staff at the Stadium will attempt to wipe off all the wet seats, but you may wish to bring small towels to keep your seat dry.

Empire State Building

The sense of pride in your accomplishments is felt not only by the NYU community, but by all of New York. As a visible symbol of that pride, the Empire State Building – a towering symbol of our city and one of the world’s most famous and recognizable structures – will be illuminated in violet and white in your honor on the evening of Tuesday, May 21. As twilight falls, be sure to look uptown and see it.
