Welcome {Back} Week

Welcome {Back} Week welcomes all students back to New York University (at Washington Square and Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn). Celebrate your return with programs and events held the first weeks of classes to kick off the academic year. (Back to the Square events are open to new students, we're just really excited to welcome everyone back also!)

The Welcome {Back} Week 2016 full schedule of events will be available in August 2016. On the app, you will be able to see a list of all of the programs and events and create your own schedule.

Event Traditions

The Class Activities Boards each host a Welcome Back Class Reception for their class. Receptions have included Sophomore Sundaes, Junior Picnic, and Happy Last First Day for Seniors.

A gritty, funny musical about the lives of NYU students as they experience an array of confounding, confusing, and exciting issues. This production, presented each year to the new incoming class, is also featured each year during Back to the Square for students who want to see it again.

Come enjoy free food provided by the Commuter Student Council and the Student Resource Center. You'll hear from student leaders about ways to get involved & resources for commuter students.

Come enjoy free food provided by the Transfer Student Association and the Student Resource Center as they welcome you to NYU. You'll have the opportunity to learn ways to get involved & about resources for transfer students.

NYU Program Board's biggest annual event! Free! Entry only with valid NYU ID and Program Board wristband. From Hip-Hop and Hardcore to Indie Rock and Black Metal, Program Board lls this show each year with a mystery performance of buzzbands, solo artists and even DJs.

Club Fest provides an opportunity for students to learn more about ways to get involved on campus. A showcase of student clubs, organizations, fraternities and sororities, athletic teams, clubs and intramural sports.

Open to Juniors and Seniors. Organizations from a wide variety of for profit and non-profit industries visit the Wasserman Center for Career Development to interview for full-time employment and summer internships. On-Campus Recruitment Information Sessions are mandatory for participation in the OCR program.
