Welcome back to New York University! Celebrate your return with friends and classmates at programs all week!
Back to the Square is a week of programs held the first week of classes to welcome NYU sophomores, juniors, seniors, and continuing graduate students back to Washington Square and kicks off the academic year with helpful workshops, and educational and social events.
Among the many programs offered during this week, featured programs include the following:
The Center for Student Activities, Leadership and Service (CSALS) host an annual Club Fest to introduce students to the 400 student organizations registered with the office.
Program Board's biggest annual event! Free! Entry only with valid NYU ID and Program Board wristband. From Hip-Hop and Hardcore to Indie Rock and Black Metal, Program Board fills this show each year with a mystery performance of buzzbands, solo artists and even DJs.
Class Activities Boards are a great way for NYU undergraduate students to get involved with campus life, meet other active students, plan interesting and fun events, and gain valuable leadership experience. Each Class Activities Board provides engaging programming for the members of its class, from across all of the various schools at NYU. Whether you're looking to get involved or are already involved, all students are welcome to join us for these information sessions.
Come enjoy free food and meet the executive and programming boards of Commuter Student Council. CSC also meets every other week on Tuesdays during the new CSC Socials and will have co-sponsored presentations and events as well. The first commuter luncheon of the year is cosponsored by Commuter & Off-Campus Student Services.
A gritty, funny musical about the lives of NYU students as they experience an array of confounding, confusing, and exciting issues. The Reality Show: NYU is written, performed, and produced by NYU students, and directed by Tisch School of the Arts professor Elizabeth Swados. This production, presented each year to the new incoming class, is also featured each year during Back to the Square for students who want to see it again!
Join us for the Transfer Student Association's first meeting of the school year, where current transfer students will answer any questions you might have as you transition to NYU. They will share advice they wish they'd known when they transferred to NYU, and of course, there will be FREE food!
Each year, the NYU Service Project connects hundreds of NYU students to non-profit organizaitons and government agencies around New York City at the Service Fair. Sponsored by the NYU Center for Student Activities, Leadership, and Service.
