When fixing patterns and predictions please be careful to make sure the new pattern contains all the levels of enumeration of the one replaced pattern before filing and saying NO to saving previous pattern.

If Issues were checked in with a level of enumeration now missing in the new PUB Pattern the holdings will be listed in receipts with no enumeration or captions and it will cause the parts to be unidentified.

This results in a curious scroll as the system searches for parts identification and there is a variable(enumeration) missing.

Compare patterns and do save old pattern if the holdings checked in were valid with correct enumeration.

What can be done to correct the order of, older, inactive Publication Patterns is to retrieve the inactive incorrect pattern and correct the enumeration according to NISO standards with all the levels present and file and then fix the entries as soon as possible retrospectively.
