(lecturer is main entry).
245 Title - The GMD must always be in brackets after $h [sound recording]. Watch for OCLC
records that are exported without brackets.
246 Added titles and parallel titles (e.g., original titles of books for books on tape, or multiple
titles on tape) - usually 246 3B; 246 31 for parallel titles. All such titles should be traced. 740

Los Angeles, Calif. $a and $b are repeatable to indicate distributors in addition to manufacturers

necessary. The letter "p" which indicates the copyright date of recorded sound may precede the
date instead of the letter "c".
300 Physical description - There should always be a time designation in $a, e.g., "(60 min.)" or
"(ca. 45 min.)" following the specific material designation "sound cassette(s)"; $b must be
identified as "analog". Give dimensions in $c only if they are other than the standard dimension.
$e (preceded by +) with descriptive info should be added if there is an accompanying booklet,
e.g., + $e 1 booklet (26 p. ; 21 cm.)
306 - Retain if given.
440 (or 490/8XX) Series statement - All series should be traced if possible. Search them in the

Minimum of four names, including especially well-known actors, actresses, interviewers, artists,

necessary.
