Labelling bound serial adds

Serials check-in staff will place a salmon flag in all serials. Instructions will be provided in the check-in record about circulation and the issue will be stamped either "Non-circulating" or "Circulation Approved."

Serials check-in staff will deliver serials to the labelling section in Cataloging. Materials may be placed on the marked shelves opposite the labelling "corral" and near the cataloging secretary's office (currently Brenda).

Labellers will pass serials stamped "Circulation Approved" on to the Serials Copy Cataloger (currently Marion Drage). She will barcode them, add the item to the BobCat record, and return them to the marked labelling shelves. Serials stamped "Non-circulating" will not be barcoded, nor will they receive an item record in Advance.

Labellers will make spine labels for all serial adds, whether circulating or not.

EXCEPTION: All scores, including serial adds bound or unbound, should be given to the Music Cataloger (Matthew Wise) rather than directly to the labellers.
