From His Poetry and Prose</i>. New York: Yiddisher Kultur Farband, 1964.  One of the "sweatshop poets" of the late nineteenth-century Lower East Side, 

in his poetry, Rosenfeld evoked the oppressiveness of the sweatshops and expressed immigrant Jews' yearnings for another kind of life in

Foreword by Itche Goldberg. New York: Yiddisher Kultur Farband (YKUF), 1968.  Published originally in Yiddish by the International Workers Order as <i>Nayn brider</i> (1936).  Raboy immigrated to the U.S. from Russia in 1904.  He began 

publishing stories in Yiddish in 1906 and became affiliated with the group of Yiddish writers and poets known as <a href="engculture.html#Yunge"><i>di Yunge</i></a>, "the young ones."

<p><b>PJ 5129.W5 A16 1908</b>  <a name=WinchevskyEng>Winchevsky, Morris.</a> <i>Stories of the struggle</i>. Chicago: C. H. Kerr &amp;

Company, 1908.  Founding editor of the anarchist <a href="../Othermedia/newspapers.html#Arbayter"><i>Arbayter Fraynd</i></a> in London, writer, poet, and activist, Winchevsky was, along with Joseph Bovshover and Morris Rosenfeld, considered 

one of the "sweatshop poets," the worker poets whose literary output came out of and reflected the lives of working-class immigrant 

Jews.  Winchevsky's Yiddish work is listed under <a href="../Yiddishbks/yidlit.html#WinchevskyLit">Poetry &#38 Fiction</a> and <a href="../Yiddishbks/yidculture.html#WinchevskyArt">Art &#38 Culture</a>.
