Center for the United States and the Cold War

New York University’s Center for the United States and the Cold War is a joint project of the Tamiment Library and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Its programs support research on the ways in which the ideological struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union which began after the 1917 Russian Revolution, shaped American politics, foreign policy, economics, culture, and society.

The Center offers dissertation and post-doctoral fellowships, travel grants to enable scholars to use Tamiment’s collections, a seminar series, conferences, and other public programs. For further information please contact co-directors Michael Nash, or Marilyn Young.
