REDTAPE
Begun in 1982 by Michael Carter, Redtape has embodied many different styles of
downtown publication. An irregular magazine, each issue has appeared in a different
format, while the content and the fusion of graphics, literature, cartoons, and art always
remained high. Contributors have included Peter Cherches, Constance DeJong, Ron Kolm,
Richard Hambledon, Patrick McGrath, Miguel Pinero, and David Wojnarowicz. Shown is
the last issue. The cover depicts the funeral of David Wojnarowicz. The Redtape Archive is a part of the Downtown Collection.
