TIM DLUGOS
Je suis ein Americano
Los Angeles: Little Caesar Press, 1979.

Tim Dlugos was a downtown poet whose work appeared in anthologies such as None of the Above: New Poets of the USA and Angels of the Lyre. In crisp, vibrant language his prose poems and lyrics lay fantasy next to documentary to depict the experiences of a gay man living and loving in New York. Dlugos was a frequent contributor to Little Caesar, a magazine edited by Dennis Cooper. Dlugos's pared down style and direct language, as well as his unapologetic and non-sentimental exploration of gay themes, reflect the aesthetic of Little Caesar. Tim Dlugos died in 1990 of complication from AIDS. Tim Dlugo's Papers are a part of the Downtown Collection.
