BobCat (BOBst Library CATalog) was the first online public catalog in a New York City library. The database was introduced June 13, 1983. Six months later, the library stopped filing new material in its card catalog, listing them only in BobCat. The card catalogues were finally removed from Bobst Library in 2002.
