Right before the Nov. election, the Youth International Party sponsors a protest on Halloween night in Washington Square Park against incumbent Richard Nixon.

On that night, Nixon is giving a speech at Madison Square Garden. Protesters also crowd outside the Garden to proclaim Nixon as a "national freak!"

The demonstrations kick off a week of campaigns against the elections and in support of young men in the military.
