In February 1965, the NYU Committee to End the War in Vietnam (CEWV) organizes one of the earliest American anti-war teach-ins at Loeb Student Center. Topics of discussion include the Berkeley anti-Vietnam War demonstration, an analysis of the Watts riots, and the denunciation of President Johnson's domestic policies.
A few weeks later, a sizeable contingent goes off to the first anti-war march on Washington.
