EDUCATION

Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals - Contains many valuable campus-oriented links as well as a listing of links to the LGBT offices at various colleges and universities throughout the country.

 

Campus PrideNet - A national online network and resource clearinghouse committed to student leaders and campus organizations who work to create a safer campus environment free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism, and genderism at colleges and universities.

NAFSA: Association for International Educators Rainbow Special Interest Groups - Group of educators dedicated to serving as a resource to LGBT international students and LGBT students desiring to study abroad.

CUNY Program for Chinese Studies- a joint project run by the Center for Women and Society and the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies, the Institute for Tongzhi Studies aspires to encourage discussions related to issues of gender, sexuality, and sexual health.

Trans-Health.Com - The online magazine of health and fitness for transsexual and transgendered people.

GayHealth.com - a website devoted to addressing the unique health concerns of LGBT individuals.

Getting Clear About Crystal Meth - a website that provides information and referrals about crystal meth.

 

 

 

POLITICAL & ACTVISM

National Gay and Lesbian Task Force - the national progressive organization working for the civil rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people.

The Lesbain and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force - a legal service and advocacy orginization addressing the needs of lesbain and gay immigrants.

The International Association of Lesbian/Gay Pride Coordinators, Inc. - an international listing of LGBT events going on near you, no matter where you may be. Great for keeping in touch with the LGBT community when you're away from NYU!

GLAAD - Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has a homepage which provides a multitude of LGBT-relevant resources and links.


Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund - the nation's oldest and largest legal organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS.

PFLAG - Every LGBT person is a part of a family, and Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays tries to help that family out.

The Human Rights Campaign - An LGBT political group.

Al Fatiha Foundation - An international organization dedicated to Muslims who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, those questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, as well as their families, friends, partners, and allies.

The Rainbow Archive - a page providing pictures and descriptions of various icons of interest to the LGBT community, both common and rare.

Pink Books - a site that provides a detailed listing of books and resource for LGBT youth

 

The Queer Resource Directory - a worldwide directory of queer-related links.

Little Black Book - A document created by the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund that provides information about how to protect yourself from unfair law practices.
