Moving Up Day XII Nomination Form
Submit this form to nominate a NYU student, staff or faculty member or club/organization for a Moving Up Day XII Award.

 

Deadline: Monday, April 20th, 2009 at 5pm.
Nominations MUST be submitted online.


Purpose
The purpose of our Moving Up Day XII Celebration is to honor NYU students, faculty, staff, organizations, and community members for outstanding work, leadership, programming, dedication, and contributions to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community of New York University and beyond. Moving Up Day also recognizes graduating LGBT and Ally students (both undergraduate and graduate).

Nomination Process

Nominations are currently being sought from NYU faculty, staff, and students. Any NYU organization, student, faculty, staff member is eligible for nomination.

Individual Example:
Vera VanNess: For her work to clothe the drag queens in Washington Square Park, and for the lectures and panels on transgender issues which she has organized for the club, T-Party and the NYU community.

Organization Example:
Gays R Greeks 2: For their work to educate and advocate for LGBT representation within the greek life community as well as actively promoting Psi Lambda Lambda, NYU's first LGBT co-ed fraternity.

Ceremony and Reception
Moving UP Day XII will be held Friday, April 24, 2009, at 7pm in the Kimmel Center for University Life, Room #914. This event is open to friends, family, and the NYU community. State issued ID is required upon entry to Kimmel.
