Awards Overview
The Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Student Services host this annual ceremony to honor NYU students, faculty, staff, organizations, and community members for outstanding work, leadership, programming, dedication, and contributions to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community of New York University and beyond. Moving Up Day also recognizes graduating LGBT and Ally students (both undergraduate and graduate).
Eligiblity & Selection Process
Any NYU organization, student, faculty, staff member is eligible for nomination and eligible to submit a nomination. While multiple nominations for individuals and/or groups are permitted, please note that multiple nominations do not increase the chances of a recipient to get an award. We encourage nominations to be explicit in their explanation of why an individual or group should recieve an award-- examples and supporting evidence is strongly encouraged. All nominations are carefully reviewed by the members of LGBT Office staff where award recepients are determined at a selection meeting.

Ceremony and Reception
Moving UP Day XII will be held Friday, April 24, 2009, at 7pm in the Kimmel Center for University Life, Room #914. This event is open to friends, family, and the NYU community. State issued ID is required upon entry to Kimmel.
