A place to meet friends and relax, the Student Commons, located on the 2nd floor, promises to be a natural locus of social activity where some of the students' fondest memories will be formed. A variety of lounges and terraces will provide space for formal and informal gatherings as well as for quiet study. A communications center and two computer resource centers will give students access to the Internet and to such electronic resources as NYUHome, Albert, and BobCat, which enable students to register for courses and look up library materials on-line, participate in electronic forums and discussions with instructors and classmates, and check their e-mail.
