Journals
NYU Libraries subscribes to over 35,000 journals, including 16,000 e-journal titles. Check to see if the library has an electronic journal using the A-Z list of e-journals on the Libraries' website. You can search for particular volumes, issues, and page numbers, or browse all available issues. http://library.nyu.edu/collections/find_ejournals.html

Full-Text Articles Online
  • Some databases provide the full-text of articles. In others, your results list will often display a button like this or "Remote Link" next to a citation. Click on the link to view a list of options for getting the item at NYU. If the electronic full-text is available, you can link to it. For more information, see http://library.nyu.edu/collections/sfx.html.
When Full-Text is not Available Online
  • Use BobCat, the NYU Libraries' catalog, to locate the journal in the library.
  • Back issues of bound journals are shelved by call number in the stacks. Microforms are on Lower Level 2.
  • Articles in journals not available at NYU can be requested through Interlibrary Loan
Current Periodicals
  • Current issues (less than two years old) in the Humanities, Music, and Social Sciences are arranged alphabetically by title and shelved in Current Periodicals on the 3rd floor.
  • Current science and technology periodicals are in the 9th floor Reference Center.
