did you know?

  • Connect-Direct is mailed to the entire NYU community at the beginning of each academic year. After that time, you may unsubscribe from the newsletter for the remainder of the year, if you wish.
  • NYU community members are welcome to submit news item proposals for Connect-Direct; see below for details.

Connect-Direct is a monthly email newsletter that reports on technology-related news, security updates, training opportunities, and other IT projects of interest to the NYU community. As a supplement to Connect: IT at NYU, Connect-Direct keeps you informed about the latest NYU IT news.

Subscribing to Connect-Direct

Connect-Direct is distributed to current NYU community members. At the start of each academic year, all new and existing NYU community members are automatically subscribed to receive monthly issues (regardless of whether they unsubscribed the previous academic year).

If you wish to remove yourself from the Connect-Direct mailing list for the current academic year, please follow the directions at the bottom of each issue. Alternatively, to unsubscribe via NYUHome:

  1. Log into NYUHome.
  2. Go to the Lists channel, located under the Home tab.
  3. Click on the connect-direct link. (If you don't see connect-direct listed, click the Update Lists Information link to refresh the list.)
  4. The list window will open. From the left menu in Lyris, select My Lists. You'll be prompted to confirm that you wish to unsubscribe. If you're sure, click Yes.
  5. To return to your NYUHome screen, click the Home tab. Go to your Lists channel and click the Update Lists Information link. The connect-direct list should no longer appear.
