Connect Fall 1996:  NYU WEB

Career Services' "Hot Job"
Sparks Burning Interest

The chili-peppered "Hot Job of the Week" on the Office of Career Services' Web page seems to have taken on a life of its own. The Hot Job button was created to let NYU students know about interesting new jobs that are available immediately.

Soon after the first hot job appeared, employers began asking how much it would cost to have their jobs featured as "hot." (We answered, "Not for sale!") Many of them wrote in to tout the quality of their organizations and to find out how to be listed. Recently, Career Services has added nonprofit employers such as the Peace Corps in order to highlight some of the challenging opportunities available to NYU students.

The Hot Job of the Week remains so popular that we may need to expand the category again soon. [ C ]
