NYURoam Wireless Access
NYURoam is New York University's secure, wireless access network. From locations supported by ITS, NYURoam offers authenticated access via radio transmissions to NYU-NET resources and the Internet. NYURoam service is available to NYU administrators, faculty, staff, students in degree programs, summer associates, NYU Polytechnic-affiliated individuals, and approved visitors. For information about availability, how to configure your laptop to use the service, specific hardware and software requirements, and more, visit the NYURoam Wireless pages.
ResNet Residence Hall Connections
ITS provides ResNet Ethernet connections to NYU-NET students in degree and diploma programs in most NYU residence halls. Connect at an ITS Computer Lab
ITS Academic Technology Centers offer specialized and advanced technology resources and assistance for your course-related work and research. These include high-end Macintosh and Windows systems, laser printers, DVD drives and related equipment, a wide variety of up-to-date software, and high-speed connections to the Internet, and NYURoam wireless access. Additional resources at the two large, modern technology centers include flatbed scanners; audio, video, and image editing; web and print publishing; and staff to assist students in the use of the labs and other ITS resources.
ITS' CoLabs are designed for student collaboration, where you can use a public computer or bring your own, and work individually or with others. In addition to NYURoam wireless access, these two CoLabs offer public computers (dual-boot Mac and Windows) with web browsers, Microsoft Office software, and high-speed connections to Internet resources; laser printers; and areas for individual and collaborative work.
