Connecting to NYU-NET On-Campus

NYURoam Wireless Access

NYURoam is New York University's secure, wireless access network. From locations supported by ITS, NYURoam offers authenticated access via radio transmissions to NYU-NET resources and the Internet. NYURoam service is available to NYU administrators, faculty, staff, students in degree programs, and approved visitors. ResNet Residence Hall Connections

ITS provides ResNet Ethernet connections to NYU-NET students in degree and diploma programs in most NYU residence halls. ResNet connections are at the fastest speeds available and leave the telephone line free. Connect at an ITS Computer Lab

ITS' four large, modern computer labs offer high-end Macintosh and Windows systems, along with laser printers, DVD drives, and related equipment, high-speed Internet connections, and a wide variety of up-to-date software. There is no charge for use of the ITS labs. They are open to all NYU students in degree or diploma programs, faculty, and staff. Wired Laptop Access at Bobst Library

Wired Laptop Access via plug-in ports, providing connections to NYU-NET for your laptop computer, are located in specially designated areas throughout Bobst Library. All students who have already registered for ResNet, and community members who registered their laptops anytime after Fall 2006, are automatically registered for this service. NYUHome Stations

You can connect to NYUHome from NYUHome Stations (public computers) in various NYU buildings around campus. For more information, visit the NYUHome Stations page.

Using Your PDA/Handheld at NYU

ITS currently provides limited support for the use of Treo and Blackberry hand-held devices for use with a variety of NYU services.
